What should my baby wear to come home from hospital?
This is all very much dependent on what time of the year your little one is due. The bottom line is baby needs to be comfortable – the best way to ensure they don’t overheat is by dressing them in layers.
The ideal leaving hospital outfit would be a vest, sleepsuit, hat and scratch mittens with a blanket if it’s cold. Don’t forget to take the car seat/pram cover if weather conditions are adverse.
You can then remove the blanket and hat, if needs be, once you’re bundled into the car. And remember – babies shouldn’t wear coats in their car seat.
