Having allergies and specific dietary requirements can make finding suitable snacks and treats difficult, can’t it?
As the mum of a CMPA/I (Cows Milk Protein Allergy/Intolerance) child and being a vegan myself, I know the struggle! Traipsing around supermarkets for hours, poring over ingredients lists and often leaving empty-handed is pretty disheartening. Well, Tesco have you covered with their huge, delicious and award-winning Free From range*! No longer will you need to spend precious time fretting over labels, nor will you need to hop between different shops just to cater for everyone in your family.
During our last grocery shop, we stopped by the Free From zone to fill our trolley with milk-free treats and saw so many goodies that we knew so many of our lovely followers would love! (This is a paid advertorial with Tesco. All affiliate links are marked with an *)
Our Favourite Free From Finds at Tesco…
Tesco Free From Ice Cream Finds
My friends and family who are gluten intolerant or allergic absolutely love these Free From ice cream cones! After years of missing out on this ice cream staple every summer, these are a total game-changer. As an added bonus, they’re also vegan!
The choc sticks are a massive hit with my friends who have children with CMPA like myself! They’re milk-free and so delicious – as well as vegan!
Tesco Free From Cheese & Onion Quiche
This yummy quiche is a perfect summer treat if you enjoy cold dinners and picnics in the sunshine. It is free from gluten, making it a brilliant Free From alternative for anyone with a gluten allergy or intolerance.
Tesco Free From Chicken & Gravy Pie
A lot of people who can’t eat gluten are shocked to learn that gravy is very often a no-go for them! This pie has great reviews; it’s made from gluten-free shortcrust and allergy-friendly gravy, with chunks of juicy chicken.
Tesco Free From Salted Caramel Chocolate Bar
Oh my goodness, this is my absolute FAVOURITE! As it is gluten, wheat and milk-free, it is perfect for celiac sufferers, anyone with wheat allergies or intolerances, and anyone who is either CMPA or lactose intolerant… as well as being vegan-friendly! It is absolutely delicious, I tell you this from personal experience.
Tesco Free From Garlic & Parsley Flatbread
This delicious flatbread would be a great accompaniment to any dish – we can see it going perfectly with a (gluten free) pasta and good glass of wine. It’s gluten-free, but absolutely full of flavour!
Tesco Free From Flapjack Bites 20 Pack
These moist, delicious flapjack bites are perfect for snacking, and nights in front of a film. They’re free from gluten, wheat, milk and eggs, making them super allergy-friendly and suitable for vegans, too! They taste syrupy and satisfying, and are an absolute favourite in my house!
Tesco Free From Chocolate Sundae
Now this is a treat for mummies and daddies ONLY, as it contains alcohol but let me tell you… it’s one of the best gluten, wheat, milk and egg-free desserts I’ve ever tried! It is made up of layers of a rice and coconut based mousse, chocolate mousse, a thick layer of chocolate, chocolate sauce and chocolate drops – just wow.
Tesco Free From 5 Chocolate Cake Slices
These milk, wheat and gluten-free chocolate slices are mega moist and yummy! We think that your children will love them just as much as we do. The chocolate-flavoured icing is gorgeous, and the sponge is very rich – what a great treat!
Our Verdict
We asked the parents over in our online community what their thoughts on the Tesco Free From range are, and we were not disappointed! The responses really show just how reliable and popular the Tesco Free From range is for families where there are allergies and other dietary needs. 90% of our community who have to shop for allergies and dietary needs choose the Tesco Free From range, and we had some great feedback in the comments of our poll too…
Louise Patricia told us;
“Yes, I lOVE the Tesco Free From range!”
Emma let us know.
“My son is egg-free and we really rely on this range for all of his snacks and treats.”
Stephanie shared;
“My son has milk-free and my partner has a lot of gluten-free stuff, I find Tesco is the best place for them both at a reasonable price in our area. The only milk-free yogurt my son will actually eat are the Tesco own ones (have tried other shop own brands as well as the big brands).”
The range itself is not only delicious, it is also extremely affordable, meaning that you needn’t worry about it costing a fortune to cater to everyone’s needs. Definitely check out this range if you haven’t already – we love it!
