Every Saturday morning we usually try to squeeze in a few quick arts and crafts before our busy day begins. I was looking through our craft boxes for some materials that we hadn’t used in a while and we found a large quantity of lollipop sticks. We decided to make these into Christmas trees. We used coloured lollipop sticks (if you don’t have these, you can use plain wooden ones and paint them), silver piping, buttons, pompoms, and sequins (and ribbon for hanging).
This is a great activity to do with toddlers, it took less than 5 minutes to make each one and they’re perfect for hanging on the tree, a window decoration, table setting or just a cute Christmas addition. We used a glue gun to create ours, but child friendly PVA glue would work just as well.
Here are a few we made;
I hope you’re all enjoying the countdown to Christmas,
Remember, it is who is around the tree, not what is under it that counts.
