Favourite Sneakers for Babies & Children

Active kids need good, reliable sneakers & trainers - that's something we're sure you'll all agree upon.

As we go bounding, skipping and leaping into the warmer months, it might be time to refresh your children's footwear options; their feet would undoubtedly have grown since last spring, so now is a fabulous time to order some exciting new trainers to see them through spring and summer 2023. We've been having a good old browse at our favourite retailers for our own kids and, without fail, we spotted so many gorgeous styles that are comfortable, supportive and light on the feet during warmer weather.

Check out what we found...

For those of you who like a more alternative look, these Vans are hands-down the best choice for the coolest kids this spring and summer. These would look ace with a trilby and sunglasses!

We also really rate Office when it comes to footwear for our kids - trainers being no exception. There were so many brands and styles to choose from; these Converse All Star Hi trainers are so beautiful, that bee print is so in keeping with spring! The Pink Canvas All Start trainers are also a very good choice, as they're supportive and sturdy but also a nice lightweight canvas fabric to keep those feet cool on hot days. The Vans Old Skool trainers are a very classic choice, we find that the soles are super sturdy and they last forever even with very boisterous kids, as do these Nike Air Force trainers - this white pair is such a classic and understated design but always looks smart with any outfit.

As a very reliable brand, they're a huge favourite amongst parents as their shoes are carefully crafted with optimal foot development in mind, as well as sustainability. Their trainer range is fantastic, how gorgeous are the Ath Horn Toddler Purple Interest trainers? The Fawn Solo Toddler trainers are more neutral but still very pretty, comfortable and supportive for active kids enjoying the warmer weather outdoors. They also come in a navy leather version! We really like the shade of light blue that we spotted the Ath Flux Kid trainers in, it's super summery.

JD Sports brings the best of both worlds to the table with their trainer ranges - we saw some very quirky and bright designs, as well as plenty of more muted pastels and neutrals to pick from. These Nike Dunk Low Infant trainers caught our eyes, we absolutely love the bright tiger print! We also cannot get enough of the gorgeous colours on this pair of Nike Force 1 trainers, they're so cheerful and will certainly stand out from the crowd. For those of you into more subdued styles, these Converse Chuck Taylor trainers have a very dainty floral design, and would be super pretty with so many outfits - a light summer dress, shorts and t-shirt, a tracksuit, they're versatile! These Vans Old Skool Infant trainers are also super versatile, as well as delightfully comfortable and light on the feet.

Our verdict...

We're in love with the range of styles, colours and designs available this season - pastels and brights seem to be very on-trend, with classic and neutral styles still a strong contender for those of you looking for something more subdued. There's something to suit every child's tastes and needs, whether you're looking for casual trainers, or trainers that are more geared towards sports; hopefully you've spotted something perfect!
