Our verdict...

If you're stuck for a family day out this autumn, this free National Trust pass could be a total winner. Wrap up warm, pack your wellies, and take a thermos of warm tea, but whoever said that outdoors fun could only ever be done during the spring and summer months?! Your little ones could have the time of their lives exploring woodland, getting muddy, immersing themselves in nature and if you need to get indoors, you could pick a National Trust property where you can explore the beautiful old buildings too. Most National Trust properties have a cafe on site, so you can plan your day knowing you could sit down to a warm lunch too.
