URGENT: August Recalls 2017

Babies ‘R’ Us – Jungle Friends Cot Mobile

Stock Affected:Item no. 171271 mfr. 7731.

Reason: Raindrops can detach posing a small-part choking hazard.

What To Do Next: Immediately return to any Babies ‘R’ Us store for a refund.


Dreambaby Night Lights

Stock Affected: Dreambaby F1054 Auto-sensor Luxe Curved Night Light, Dreambaby F1034 Auto-sensor Night Light.

Reason: Safety issue related to the design. In certain circumstances users have received an electric shock when removing the Night Light from a power socket.

Mothercare Much Loved Bouncer

Stock Affected: Bouncers with a batch date of 12/2015 onward’s and with a barcode ending in 843611-3 are affected by this recall.

What To Do Next: If you own one of these bouncers please stop using it immediately and return your product to a Mothercare store where a full refund will be given. Alternatively, email on: [email protected]


The Manhattan Toy Company – Colour Burst Winkel Rattle

Stock Affected: 206880 DH, 206880 EH, 206880 HH, 206871 EH.

Reason: As a precaution, the supplier is recalling this product as there is a risk of small parts becoming detached and presenting a choking hazard to young children.

What To Do Next: Return it to your nearest John Lewis or Waitrose store as soon as possible for a full refund, or to exchange it for an alternative product if you prefer.


Toys ‘R’ Us – Bruin Mini City 6 Pack Squeeze Vehicles

Stock affected: Item 192174, Model 5F62F00.

Reason: The underside piece holding the car wheels in place can detach from the car generating small parts posing a choking hazard.

What To Do Next: Return to nearest Toys ‘R’ Us for a refund or exchange of product.

Stock Affected: Catalogue number 399/9888, ECE R44.04 approval number 045126, Model number LB-320.

Reason: Doesn’t meet Furniture & Furnishings Fire Safety Regulations.

Argos – Razor Ripstik Electric Caster Board

Stock Affected: Cat no. 543/2264. 

Reason: The rear wheel can stop rotating while the caster board is in use, having the potential to cause injury.

Reason: Material does not meet applicable EU fire safety standards. Although no incidents have been reported.

Stock Affected: Number 158496.

Reason: Potential problem with the rivet attachment for the bow on the above shoe, which may become detached during wear.

What To Do Next: Call 0333 777 8185 to arrange a collection. Alternatively, if you’ve given this item as a gift, please ask the recipient to contact Next.


BRIO – Soft Hammer Rattle

Stock Affected: Article number 30423.

Reason: The wooden rings on the hammer can crack and thus possibly result in small parts that could be hazardous to small children. However no reports of anyone being harmed by the product.

What To Do Next: Return it to their local retailer where purchased from. Consumers with a receipt will receive a refund; consumers who do not have a receipt will be compensated with another BRIO product.


Recaro – Zero.1 child car seat

Reason: The belts that hold the child in the seat could become loose under certain conditions.

Recaro – Optia child car seat

Reason: Tests found seat separated from the Isofix base.
