Baby Pictured with the 1616 IVF Needles Used To Make Her!

If you’ve been through IVF or are currently going through the process, you NEED to see this inspiring photograph!

Packer Family Photography have captured this inspiring image of a baby conceived after 4 years, 7 IVF attempts, and 1616 injections – isn’t it just incredible?

To us, it’s an image that perfectly represents the long journey of IVF that many people embark on in hope of starting a family of their own, and the end result that everyone dreams of. Every single one of those 1616 painful needles is worth it! We hope that our followers on their own fertility treatment journey find this image as inspiring and hope-evoking as we do.

This is the first time I have been asked to do a photo like this! I was honored and wanted to create something…

What is IVF?

IVF stands for ‘In Vitro Fertilisation’. It is a form of fertility therapy used when someone is unable to conceive any other way.

During IVF, an egg is removed from a woman’s ovary (or a donor egg sourced), and it is then fertilised with sperm by specialists in a lab before then either being frozen for future use or used in a ‘fresh transfer’ directly into the woman’s uterus. It’s an incredible feat of science, and has helped many people worldwide to achieve their dream of having a baby.

You can find out more about IVF and who is eligible for NHS funding here.
