PRODUCT RECALL: Bisto Original Gravy Powder

It’s time to check your cupboards for this food recall – it could be a potential health risk for those with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

The following notice has been issued on the Bisto website:

“We are withdrawing a very small number of Bisto Original Gravy Powder (400g) cartons from sale in ASDA stores in the north east of England that are displaying an allergen notice, because it contains milk not mentioned in the Ingredient Declaration.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk, and therefore, should not be consumed by anyone with a milk allergy.

The affected batch of product has a best before end March 2022, displays LOT 0092 and time codes between 22:41 and 22:47, and has only been sold in ASDA stores in the north east of England. No other codes or Bisto products are affected.”
