If you’re a regular at Costa Coffee and have an allergy to milk, mustard and/or fish (or your little one does), this is an important read!
Costa has had to recall their new chicken and bacon pasta salad due to allergens that aren’t mentioned on their labelling – if you’ve already eaten this and have an allergy, you’re likely to be aware of the contamination by now, but this is still a concern for anyone who may have purchased this product and stored it in a fridge for later consumption. It may also help parents whose child has had an unexpected reaction after eating the salad to understand the cause.
A Costa spokesperson said: ‘Costa Coffee is recalling its Chicken & Bacon Pasta Salad with a use by date of May 22 due to a product labelling error of undeclared allergens; fish, milk and mustard.
We have immediately notified the correct allergen bodies and food governance agencies, and we are carrying out a full investigation as to how this happened.’

Please share this to ensure other parents with food allergies or with children who are allergic to milk, mustard and/or fish are made aware.
