North East Bonfire & Fireworks Displays 2016

Find bonfire & firework displays taking place in the North East below…

THURSDAY 20th OCTOBER 2016

Free Fireworks Display by JTF Mega Discount Warehouse
The fireworks display will be held on the grounds of the store which is located on Second Avenue, Tyne Tunnel Trading Estate, North Shields, NE29 7SY.
The event will be running from 6pm-9pm with the fireworks starting officially at 7.30pm

THURSDAY 3RD NOVEMBER 2016

Fireworks at the Fort Segedunum Roman Fort
Bring your oohs and aahs to fireworks at the fort and see the night sky over the River Tyne light up where the iconic Swan Hunter would launch its ships.
As well as the firework extravaganza, why not explore the museum exhibits or have a bite to eat in the cafe before choosing the best spot outside to watch the display.
Entry to the museum and cafe is free from 4pm.
Fireworks from 6.30pm.
Free but donations are welcome.

SATURDAY 5TH NOVEMBER 2016

Hetton Lyons Cricket Club
Houghton Round Table will be putting on its annual firework display for all the family at the cricket club.
Gates open: 6pm 
Fireworks start: 7pm
Cost: Adults £3 and children £2. Pay at the gate.

Ashbrooke Cricket Club, West Lawn
The sports club is holding its family friendly fire work display on November 5. There will be a funfair and food stalls on the night too.
Gates open: 6pm
Fireworks start: 7.30pm and will last approximately 20 minutes.

City of Sunderland Seafront Illuminations
The City of Sunderland will be hosting a  free firework display on the sea front.
Starts: 9:30pm. 
All welcome.

Houghton Rugby Club
Take your family along to enjoy the funfair and amusements before the firework display. There will also be music and refreshments available throughout the night.
Gates open: 5pm
Display starts: 7pm
Cost: Adults £2 and children £1. All are welcome, pay at the gate upon arrival.

Hartlepool Fireworks & Music Spectacular
Spectacular fireworks extravaganza themed around the wonder of sci-fi with an extraordinary display incorporations music from Star Wars, War of the Worlds and X-Files. Enjoy the best views of the event and a special entertainment area, featuring music from Red Dreams Music Charity, at the rear of the clock tower.

Grand Annual Fireworks Display, Chester-le-Street Cricket Club

The annual Grand Fireworks Extravaganza returns to Chester-le-Street Cricket Club and promises to be the biggest and best display yet. All the fireworks will be electronically set off in sync to the club’s soundtrack. There will also be children’s rides and stall games with prizes to be won.
Gates open: 4.30pm
Display starts: 6pm
Cost: Adults (14 years and over) £4, Children (2 – 14) £2 and concessions £2. Tickets available from the club.

Gateshead Firework Display – Saltwell Park
The annual event which attracts more than 30,000 people returns to Saltwell Park for a huge firework display. For the first time there will also be a stage featuring live music performances along with a large digital screen.
Gates open: 5.30pm
Fireworks start: 7.30pm
Cost: £2 per wristband purchased in advance

Blue Flames Annual Fireworks Display, Whitley Bay
There will be a huge display as well as fairground rides, stalls, hot food and a bar.
Gates open: 5.30pm
Display starts: 7pm.
Cost: Advanced tickets cost £4 for adults and £3 for kids and are available from Blue Flames reception.
Tickets on the night cost £4.50 for adults and £3.50 for kids.

Tynemouth Fireworks, Tynemouth Cricket Club
This year there will be fire breathers, stilt walkers, live DJ, a 15 minute professional fireworks display and a huge bonfire.
Gates open: 5pm
Bonfire lit 5pm
Firework display starts: 7pm
Cost: Adults £5 (16 or over) Child £2 and Family £12. Children 3 or under go for free.

SUNDAY NOVEMBER 6th 2016

Riverside Fireworks, Chester Le Street
A brand new Fireworks Festival
Taking place in the Riverside Park, Chester-le-Street, Co. Durham on Sunday 6th November 2016, the inaugural Riverside Fireworks will climax with a
25-minute, superhero themed fireworks’ display, all choreographed to music!
Gates open: 5pm
Fireworks start: 7pm
Tickets cost £5 plus booking and children under 6 go free!
