Researchers claim to have discovered there’s more to your baby moving around within the womb than just keeping you up all night…
According to a new study, scientists in India and Ireland found that the physiological reason babies move around is that they’re working to develop strong bones and joints.
They found that movement helps to stimulate ‘molecular interactions’ that help turn cells into bones and joints.
The NHS says that feeling baby move around a lot during pregnancy is good sign that they’re developing well. If you feel like baby’s movements have reduced then you should contact your midwife or GP as soon as possible.
