In July, an insider source leaked this news to The Sun.
We're glad to see that this leak was actually based in fact and NOT just a rumour, as it's such a fantastic idea for a spin-off. When the rumour was initially leaked over summer 2022, there was such a huge reaction of excitement across social media at the prospect so knowing that it is actually going ahead is sure to be setting off 'Love Island fever' all over again!
"Times change and the current generation in their 40s and 50s still care about how they look, are fit and healthy, into fashion and are ready to let their hair down. This show will give those who settled down young a second chance at love while they still feel in their prime."

Our verdict...
We absolutely love the sound of a 'grown up' Love Island - the twist of the contestant's children having control over matches and scheming behind the scenes is hilarious and will hopefully have some wonderful, and of course romantic, endings. It'll certainly be more relatable, as mummies and daddies ourselves! It's a relief that the leak in July wasn't just gossip, and we'll definitely be tuning in.
Make sure you apply by 23:59 on the 31st March 2023 if you want to take part or nominate one of your parents!
