Love Island Middle-Aged Spin-Off CONFIRMED!

Love Island fans, we have some exciting news for you...

If you love nothing more than putting the kids to bed, grabbing your snacks and settling down to tune into the latest episode of Love Island, this news might be right up your street.

ITV have finally put us out of our misery and confirmed news that Love Island WILL be creating a spin-off show for middle-aged single mums and dads to be set up by their own children! The contestants will be from a slightly older generation than the usual contestants, with their own children set to have control over the couplings much to the titillation of viewers...

This news is proving popular amongst the legion of fans amassed by Love Island, many of whom have been asking for a more diverse cast selection for years now! We're thinking it'll be a refreshing change to see more mature singletons looking for love.

Want to set your own mum or dad up? Well, you've got until Friday 31 March 2023 at 23:59pm to apply!

In July, an insider source leaked this news to The Sun.

We're glad to see that this leak was actually based in fact and NOT just a rumour, as it's such a fantastic idea for a spin-off. When the rumour was initially leaked over summer 2022, there was such a huge reaction of excitement across social media at the prospect so knowing that it is actually going ahead is sure to be setting off 'Love Island fever' all over again!

"Times change and the current generation in their 40s and 50s still care about how they look, are fit and healthy, into fashion and are ready to let their hair down. This show will give those who settled down young a second chance at love while they still feel in their prime."

 Our verdict...

We absolutely love the sound of a 'grown up' Love Island - the twist of the contestant's children having control over matches and scheming behind the scenes is hilarious and will hopefully have some wonderful, and of course romantic, endings. It'll certainly be more relatable, as mummies and daddies ourselves! It's a relief that the leak in July wasn't just gossip, and we'll definitely be tuning in.

Make sure you apply by 23:59 on the 31st March 2023 if you want to take part or nominate one of your parents!
