feel good

Feeling good is pretty much at the top of everybody’s list I would imagine, I mean, who wants to feel rubbish?! There are some super simple ways to make yourself feel good every day of the week, month and year, so if you’re tired of feeling slugglish and just generally rotten then give a few of these a try and I promise you’ll start feeling great in no time at all!

36 Ways To Feel Good Every Single Day

Drink water – at least 8 glasses a day. If you’re always on the go or just find bottles generally easier like me, you can even find really cool bottles with a drinking schedule on it!

Water bottle

Routine! Go to bed and wake up roughly at the same time each day.

Eight is the magic number! Getting eight hours of sleep a night will brighten you up loads!

Avoid caffeine at least 5 hours before bed time.

Run or jog –  at least once a week.

Planning meals leaves less room for snacking and picking.

Swap out rubbish and junk food for a more healthy snack option such as carrots, nuts and popcorn.

Avoid alcohol. A bottle of wine a day after the kids go to bed can really linger on the waist line!

Vitamin tablets are great for the body and for boosting you up a bit. Take one every day – find out which one/s will be best for you by doing some research or by asking your doctor or pharmacist.

Be sure to get am ample amount of fresh air everyday. Sitting indoors with windows and doors closed everyday breathing in stagnant air will make you feel very sluggish.

Don’t just sit down after a large meal. Get up ad stretch your legs by either having a walk aound the house or for popping out for a little stroll.

Stop smoking. It’s a terrible habit and really makes you feel awful.

Try not to sit down for more than 45 minutes.

Take up a team sport. There are so many different ones to chose from gymnastics, hockey, netball, even trampollining!

Cleaning the house can really burn those calories! In fact vaccumming alone can burn around 300 calories an hour!

Change the way you cook. Frying is bad so alternatively bake or grill your food. Swap out oil for Fry Light sprays.

Music is such a mood booster and can make you feel either completelt relaxed or like youre ready to party.

Swap the standard white breads, pastas and flours for wholegrain or wholewheat instead.

Find an exercise buddy! It can be a great boost to have somebody there pushing you. However at the sametime, don’t be put off by going at it alone either all of the time or when you have conflicting schedules. It can be quite refreshing to get into your own headspace and just focus on the exercise rather than gossip. ha

workout buddy

Eat sensibly. Don’t eat until your feel stuffed, just until you feel full.

Trans fat is bad! Avoid foods containing tras fat as much as possible.

Take the stairs instead of the lift or escalator.

Pace when taking long phone calls rather than standing or sitting stationary.

At least a quarter of your plate should contan vegetables.

Healthy plate

Cook from scratch more and avoid take-aways often.

Replace contiments with mashed avocado.

Eat fruit rather than drinking juice.

Go meat free one day a week.

Make your own healthy and low fat salad dressing.

Wake up 15 minutes earlier that you usually would to have some you time. This is especially great if you have children.

Put cutlery down between mouthfuls to help savour food.

Begin each meal with a glass of water and drink often.

Avoid multitasking whilst eating so your aren’t mindlessly eating and overfilling.

Swap rice for quinoa.

Eat breakfast every morning. A car doesn’t work without any fuel and neither does the body.

And breathe… Taking deap breaths will improve mental health, reduce migraines and aid digestion as well as curbing anxiety.

It honestly really is worth giving these feel good ideas a go and it’s great that feeling good doesn’t have to actually cost a thing. Recently I’ve completely cut out the juice and instead I’m drinking water, exercising more, eating right and I’m feeling 100 times better for it! Please let me know if you give any of these feel good ideas a try as I’d love to know if and how you have felt different.

xoxo
